GLOW - The Queer and Questioning Community Centre

Our termly Volunteer Meet-and-Greet will be happening this Wednesday May 19 from 6-7pm in PAS 3005 (the PAS lounge/Wednesday Night Discussion Group room). This event is open to everyone, especially those who want to get to know the people involved with GLOW this term. It is also the place to come get information about volunteering with us, and figuring out where you might fit best within our organization.

GLOW cannot operate without a dedicated team of eager volunteers, and while we can always use the help, we are especially short on numbers this term. Otherwise, some events, such as marching in Toronto Pride with busing provided, may regrettably not be able to happen unless someone comes and takes up the mantle.  So, if you’ve ever even had an inkling of interest of working with us, please come out this Wednesday and talk with us! Pizza and Pop will be provided free of charge.

It’s a new term, and that means new opportunities to volunteer with GLOW! Whether you just want to learn about the opportunities available and how to get involved, want to help out with events, or want to work at the executive level, you can find it all out at our Winter ’10 Volunteer Meet and Greet!

It’s happening on Tuesday, January 19, from 5:00pm-7:00pm in PAS 3005 lounge.

There will be food (read: p-i-z-z-a) and other tasty munchables and drinks, and it’s basically a great time to meet other volunteers like yourself and just hang out! It is a drop-in type of event, so if you have class until 5:30pm, no worries! Just stop by when you can!

In Waterloo for the summer?

Interested in volunteering and meeting other queer and questioning people?

GLOW will be holding a volunteer meet and greet on Wednesday May 6th in the PAS Lounge (PAS 3005) from 9 – 11pm. This will be a great opportunity to find out more about volunteering with GLOW and to meet other queer and questioning people who are around for the summer. There will be free food and beverages!

After the discussion group in PAS 3005 tonight, GLOW will be having its Winter 2008 Volunteer Meet and Greet. The Meet and Greet is a chance to meet people who are involved with GLOW, as well as to offer anyone who is interesting in volunteering with GLOW a chance to ask questions and get involved. We will also have some drinks and snacks, so come out, ask questions, and get involved!

The discussion group starts at 7:15pm and the Meet and Greet will start at 8:45pm

This Wednesday, April 12 at the Grad House we’d like to show our appreciation for all the GLOW volunteers who have worked so hard this year. So take a break from studying and join us, around 9:00pm, for a pizza party! Volunteers are especially encouraged to attend, but all are welcome. See you there!
